To strengthen the development of the graduate supervisor team and improve guidance effectiveness, the school held the first graduate supervisor work meeting of this semester on the afternoon of April 2nd in the fifth-floor conference room of the West Campus Building. Zhao Zhihou, the Party Secretary of the school, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan.
Zhao Zhihou shared his experience with the attending faculty members on two aspects: student mental health and the management of the supervisor-student relationship. He emphasized the importance of supervisors maintaining open communication channels with students, keeping track of student dynamics, and strengthening coordination and collaboration with course instructors and counselors to better understand students’ mental health status.
Dean Cao Ruonan reported on the overall situation of graduate admission re-examinations for 2025. Based on the degree qualification review results for the first-half of 2025, she reiterated the relevant work procedures and requirements. She also announced arrangements for the next stage of teacher and student training, cognitive internships, field investigations and related initiatives.
